Improved search engine placement with optimized title tags

Posted in Search Engine Optimization, improved search engine rankings by page1pro on the December 26th, 2007

Anyone who has done even a little research on SEO knows that improved search engine placement is attainable just by optimizing the title tags on a page. However, just how important are the title tags and other on-page optimization techniques? In terms of long tail keyword targets, it probably isn’t necessary. I’m going to try a little experiment for a few weeks. Here’s an example of a page showing the best Indiana high school basketball coaches. Top 10 organic search engine optimization myths

From time to time, we get potential clients contacting us about SEO who have actually done a little research and tried some SEO techniques on their own. They are disappointed because they changed their meta tags and H1 tags, but they aren’t seeing any improvement. This is a great article on some common myths: http://searchengineland.com/070830-074852.php. If you had any doubts about outsourcing your company’s SEO needs, this article may be the tipping point. Even if you invest some time into research and make some site changes on your own, you still may be way off base.  Contact us today for a free quote for search engine optimization services.

Professional search engine optimization

Posted in Professional search engine optimization by page1pro on the December 21st, 2007

Maybe I should step back a bit and explain what search engine optimization is. Almost every business would like to maximize its profitability, but knowledge of SEO and internet marketing strategies is still something which is foreign to most business people.

Effective search engine optimization is comprised of keyword research, competition research, on-site optimization, content creation, link building, and web analytics. Each of these functions is a critical step in the SEO process. Without a proven methodology, business owners not familiar with SEO techniques can expect to spend hundreds of hours educating themselves about the process of SEO before implementing a campaign on their own.

The information is out there - but is it really worth the time investment to do it yourself? Contact us today at (574) 361.9541 for a quote for SEO services.

Chicago search engine optimization

Posted in Regional SEO Services by page1pro on the December 21st, 2007

Since we are headquartered in Indiana, we may not necessarily be thought of as a Chicago search engine optimization company. The truth is that our office is 2 hours from downtown Chicago, 2.5 hours from downtown Indianapolis, 2.5 hours from downtown Cleveland, 3 hours from Columbus, Ohio, and 3.5 hours from Detroit. Our central location is just one more reason to choose us for internet marketing services if you are a company located in the midwest.

We have served clients across the country and around the world, but sometimes it’s a comforting feeling to know that if you actually wanted to personally visit our offices, you could. Due to our recent site renovations, we are beginning to achieve higher search engine placements for keyword phrases such as “Chicago search engine optimization” and “Chicago SEO company”. We look forward to building relationships with small businesses in Chicago and other cities in the midwest.

Online Marketing Services and web analytics

More and more, our online marketing services depend on a quality web analytics tool. While Google Analytics is a good SEO solution for those companies with tech-savvy individuals, we have found that StatsAdvisor is actually better for the small business owner who wants website traffic reporting in easy-to-understand formats sent automatically via email. StatsAdvisor web analytics software is only $50/month, and features daily, weekly, and monthly reporting options.

Better Search Engine Rankings

I’m doing a little experiment with Meta Description tags.  Now that we’ve completed (almost) our website remodel and have already begun to achieve top-10 rankings for some competitive keyword phrases, I’ve changed the meta description tag on one of our website pages to see if it will affect rankings.  This page is already achieving high rankings (top-3) for a competitive keyword phrase, so we’ll see what happens.  Basically, the new Meta tag does not include that high-ranking KW, so as soon as this gets spidered, we should see the effects.

Search engine placement services for small business websites

Posted in Internet Marketing Consultants by page1pro on the December 19th, 2007

Our search engine placement services are ideal for a small to mid-sized business that wants to leverage their website to grow their sales. I just spoke with a prospective client who told me that they had paid a website development company over $10k to do a complete makeover of their site in 2005. Unfortunately, even today, their site was only receiving less than a dozen visitors each week. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing! I asked him what his target keywords were, and he said that they hadn’t ever thought of it. If your company finds itself in this position - if you’ve invested in a quality website, but haven’t considered enlisting the help of a professional SEO consultant, please contact us. We would love to work with you to maximize the potential of your website.

Testing Social Media

Posted in Link Popularity by page1pro on the December 13th, 2007

There’s been a ton of speculation on how effective social media optimization is in terms of achieving better search engine rankings. I’m adding some social media profiles and will be testing this over the next few weeks. I started with Ryze, Xing, and LinkedIn.
